at my mountain cabin. We pay $250 a month for phone, internet, and cable. I'm sick of it. I've already tested a couple of indoor antennas and they work fine, but I've been hearing about the outdoor HDTV antennas that connect to your old cable port.
Since this is a combination vacation/rental cabin, I'm going with a new ROKU TV. I've been playing around with it the past couple of days and it's amazing the free things you can get. I'm still learning.
I should also be able to piggyback off of my current cable channels but this is temporary.
If ROKU goes as planned, I will cut cable at my home in a in a couple of months, purchase a ROKU stick, and save myself nearly $200 a month as a result.
A friend recently installed an outdoor antenna. He couldn't remember the brand name, but it was approximately a square foot cube and about an inch thick. Plugged into his outdoor connection for where cable originally went in. He says his reception is much cleaner than cable on both his TVs.
